BABY SHOWER FOR MARY'S CORNER

A baby shower is traditionally a joyous occasion celebrating the imminent arrival of a new family member. However, it can also be an opportunity to give back to the community.  And at our Mary’s Corner fundraiser held at Franklin’s Terrace on June 15, that is exactly what we did.

Beautiful decorations greeted us upon arrival.  A table overflowing with donations captured our attention along with the baskets that were prepared and raffled off to several lucky winners. Disbelief at the generosity shown to families in need was most often expressed as the attendees viewed the table that showcased what is given each month to our clients.

Fun, and rather thought provoking games, were played.  The brunch buffet was delicious, but most of all, it was wonderful to see the outpouring of support from both the Ladies of Charity and their friends for this worthy cause.

A special thank you to Mary Clinton, Alicia Smith, Sharon Giordano, Kim Seitz, Michele O’Hare, Debbie Nolan Murray and Sr. Joanne Donovan for their tireless efforts in making this happen.  Combining the fun of a baby shower with the spirit of giving, these women created a memorable event that will leave a lasting impact.  This fundraiser was a beautiful way to celebrate life by making a difference in the lives of others.
