Great news from Mary’s Corner — we are expanding again!
This October, we are excited to launch a pop-up Mary’s Corner at the Watervliet Housing Authority. (For those unfamiliar, a pop-up is a temporary location that may become permanent.)
This new venture is possible thanks to a wonderful collaboration with Matthew Ethier, Executive Director of the Watervliet Housing Authority; Danielle McKee, Family Counselor at the Watervliet City School District; and the Bonner Program at Siena University.
Bonner students Elyssa and Maddie will be running the pop-up. They have been hard at work at the Housing Authority, preparing the space to serve local families in need.
This location will support tenants referred by the Watervliet Housing Authority as well as families from the Watervliet City School District. Available items will include diapers, wipes, hygiene products, and food. Clothing is expected to be added in early 2026.
The pop-up will operate once a month, opening on one Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and will be located in the Joslin Community Room at the Watervliet Housing Authority.
We are looking for volunteers to support the Siena students with this exciting project! You do not need to be available for the full hours of operation — helping out for even part of the time is greatly appreciated and warmly welcomed.
