AN AFTERNOON OF SWEET FELLOWSHIP

It may have been a very cold day, but that didn’t stop the Ladies of Charity from gathering with the Daughters of Charity for an afternoon full of warmth, laughter, and sweet treats. Bundled up in coats, scarves, and gloves, the ladies arrived ready to enjoy time together—and nothing, not even the chilly air, could dampen their spirits.

As marshmallows toasted and chocolate melted between graham crackers, laughter filled the air. Some carefully crafted the perfect golden marshmallow, while others embraced the gooey, slightly charred version. No matter the technique, every s’more was made with joy and shared with a smile.

Despite the brisk weather, the sense of fellowship kept everyone warm. Stories were shared, friendships deepened, and the simple act of gathering together brought a special kind of comfort that no winter chill could take away.

By the end of the afternoon, hands were a little sticky, but hearts were full. It was a wonderful reminder that even on the coldest days, community and kindness create the warmest memories.
